Early Signals
Signal 03 · Coordination tracereport in preparation

The cognitive process,made visible.

The same run, captured as a live event stream: tensions forming, agents attaching, coalitions assembling and dissolving, the verifier catching what slipped. The part no other agent system shows you.

01

The problem

Most agent systems show you an output and ask you to trust the process behind it. This signal does the opposite: it makes the process itself the artifact. It takes the autonomous build from Signal 01 and instruments the run, so the coordination that produced the program becomes something you can watch.

This is the most Rhizome-specific of the three signals, because it shows the thing that is actually distinctive — not a single agent thinking step by step, but a field: tensions forming where work is needed, agents attaching by fitrather than by assignment, temporary coalitions assembling around a hard sub-problem and dissolving when it's done, the verifier mesh catching what slipped, and the policy engine shifting the field between exploration and convergence.

The run is captured as an ordered event stream and assembled into three views: a field graph evolving over time, a runtime feed of what happened, and a policy-mode band showing how the field was governed — with 1–3 highlighted moments traced back to the events that caused them.

Where a visualization is reconstructed or simplified from the raw log for readability, the report will say so plainly and label it. The goal is to show the real process, not a polished diagram of an imagined one.

02

Event stream

The raw runtime feed: every tension that formed, every agent that attached by fit, each verifier pass and policy-mode switch — timestamped, in the order it actually happened.

Field graph

The field reconstructed over time: nodes as tensions and agents, edges as attachments, coalitions assembling and dissolving. A view of the structure, not just the log.

Policy timeline

The policy-mode band across the run — when the field ran exploratory, when it tightened toward convergence, and what triggered each shift.

Highlights

1–3 moments worth pausing on: a coalition forming around a hard sub-problem, a dissent that changed direction, a verifier catching a defect before it landed — each one traced back to the events that produced it.

Metrics

The run summary: agents and roles, tensions opened and resolved, verifier passes, policy switches, wall-clock time — with a plain note on what was captured live versus reconstructed for readability.
